An Oxford web designer with more than a pinch of common sense.
Who I am
Common sense is greatly underrated these days. A lot of what I do simply involves the application of common sense.
Yes, I’ve got a technical degree (1st in Computer Science with Management from King’s College London if you were wondering), but the technical stuff is nothing new – most website designers have it.
More important to me is the ability to listen, grasp the issues in hand and create a simple, stylish and effective solution to fit.
Where I am
I am based south of Oxford, in the village of Steventon. Centrally located to serve the home counties of Oxfordshire and Berkshire, and only five minutes from the A34, I do also undertake web design work for clients from further afield.
How I got here?
After completing my degree, I worked as a Business Analyst and Consultant for Fujitsu Services, the global IT Services company, for just over three years. I learnt a lot, not least – how busy the M4 can be on a Monday morning and how packed trains from Didcot Parkway to London Paddington can get
. In all seriousness, much of my consultancy led approach to web design stems from the experience I gained at Fujitsu.
I made the break and set up Hexagon Webworks in March 2008, and am thankful to say that I really enjoy my work in web design – I love the creativity, seeing happy faces at the end of each project, and the sense of achievement gained when you know you’ve created a website which will really make a difference. And I certainly don’t miss all the commuting!
My outlook
I am committed to providing my clients with a high quality web design service that exceeds the norm. I strive to keep to my word and deliver on the promises I make.
I pay attention to detail and am keen to ensure that each and every one of my clients walks away more than satisfied.
